Megan Mai Foundation is Vindico’s official charity of the year. We’re excited to announce our official charity of the year – the Megan Mai Foundation.  We first raised money for the Megan Mai Foundation at the Vindico Arena launch party – and we were so moved by Richard’s story that we decided to dedicate our fundraising efforts to help this small but mighty cause gain some well-deserved momentum.  Founder Richard established the charity following the heart-breaking loss of his happy, football-mad, full-of-life, daughter – Megan Mai.  As Richard puts it:  “My daughter was in hospital for four years and after her passing I really did need to focus on purpose. That was the catalyst for starting the Megan Mai Foundation – to help people who have gone through situations like me and my daughter.”  The Foundation supports seriously ill local children and their families in many ways. Their focus has been to supply air purifiers to help children whose immune systems are struggling after treatment, and they also offer counselling and life coaching to help support families through difficult times.  Their latest project has seen the charity work alongside nurses at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff to provide equipment, freezers, and free food every week for families visiting on the ward. “Richard came to do a talk and it was so inspiring and so engaging that we thought we have to do more with the Megan Mai Foundation,” says Vindico’s CRO, Rhys Perkins.  “The stories that they tell, and the work that they do inspires us to do more.  “Vindico has never had a charity of the year before, but we felt that this year, and everything we’ve achieved so far as a business it only feels right to give back – to see how we can help others, to see who we can support our community, and to help shine the light on a smaller charity that’s doing some fantastic work.  “We know that with the Megan Mai Foundation, every single pound that we give or help raise goes straight to those families, and straight to the community, and that’s really important to us.”  We’re looking forward to supporting the Megan Mai Foundation in the wonderful and meaningful work they do within the community this year.  To find out more about their story – and the fantastic work they do locally –
