Modernising a national rail network
Transport for Wales operates the national rail network across Wales and the borders, serving millions of passengers each year. As part of a wider modernisation programme, TfW needed to transform their station infrastructure with digital signage, passenger WiFi, and better workplace management tools.
Stations relied on outdated information displays, lacked connectivity for passengers, and had no unified system for managing staff sign-ins, health and safety compliance, or real-time operational data. With dozens of stations and depots spread across the network, any solution had to be scalable, reliable, and remotely manageable.
TfW also became the launch partner for Vindico's SWAPP platform — a workplace safety and compliance system that needed to integrate seamlessly with existing HR systems and handle the complexities of a 24/7 rail operation.
